We are thrilled to announce our investment in Circit, the pioneering audit confirmations and open banking platform. MiddleGame is co-leading the €6.5M Series A round alongside Aquiline Technology Growth (ATG).
Ireland-based Circit offers a cloud based, SaaS platform to automate workflows for auditors, corporates and financial institutions. Importantly, Circit leverages Open Banking to help auditors verify the ownership and accuracy of assets and liabilities at source, and in real-time. Circit extracts away points of friction commonly associated with the traditional audit process, providing greater transparency between parties, enabling high quality outputs, and streamlining the end-to-end process for all involved.
General Partner Patrick Pinschmidt shares his thoughts on the investment: “Circit is addressing a persistent pain point by digitizing the audit confirmation process. But we see broader use cases for the company’s pioneering technology. The combination of open banking tools and the integration of financial institutions and corporates into Circit’s solution will lower costs and improve transparency as the company helps digitize a cross-section of workflows for a global customer base.”
